Sarah Belles - American Sign LanguageSarah began learning Sign Language in the 8th grade. She went to college and earned her AA in Deaf studies, where she learned about deaf culture, education, and even the laws that pertain to the deaf. After her junior year in college, she married a deaf man whose native language is American Sign Language. She then received her B.S. degree in Sign Language Interpreting, and has been interpreting in elementary, post secondary, and university settings for the past 9 years. Sarah and her husband have four children (all hearing) who all learned or will learn to sign before learning English. |
