After graduatingshe had worked as a magazine writer and editor in various positionsfor 11 years in Seoul. She came to the U. S. in 1999 and has livedhere ever since. She graduated from the Berkshire Community Collegein Pittsfield, Massachusetts with perfect 4.0 GPA. She once worked asa graphic designer at “The Berkshire Eagle”, one of the oldestnewspaper companies in the country located in Pittsfield, MA. She hadlived in MA for almost eight years and moved to metro Atlanta in2007. She is also a Sunday school teacher and Korean teacher atKorean Presbyterian Church in Marietta. She loves teaching Korean,the very simple and logical alphabet system, to people from anotherculture as well as Korean-Americans. Jiyoung Choi - Korean Instructor
Jiyoung received a Bachelorsdegree of English Literature at KonKuk University in Korea. Aftergraduating she has taught English for 2 years in Korea. She also completed the Applied Linguistics and English as a SecondLanguage Master’s program at Georgia State University. She taught Korean at the Korean Language School in Atlanta, as well as abasic Korean course at GSU for 1 year. The use of original materials and activities, exposes students toevery-day situations. "From my teachingexperience, I learned that it is important to find solution to how toraise students’ motivation to learn the language, how to makethem more involved in class for learning, how to give them meaningfullessons. Miyoung has a BS in computer science and MA in Applied Linguistics at GSU. She has been teaching Korean over two years including a year at Georgia State University. “Instructional Technology” is her interest, so she always tries to use diverse authentic materials using technology during class.
